Hot on the heels of the great Business Class fares from Prague to multiple cities in North America and the Business Class fares between Europe and Las Vegas/San Francisco comes another very nice Business Class fare between Europe and the US.

Delta has just announced a series of new routes/flights that it plans to operate across the Atlantic in 2018. With new routes out of Los Angles, New York and Atlanta and an additional flight being added between Paris and Detroit, this is quite a big announcement from the airline.

News: United Adds Wide-Body Service To Cancun & Delta Schedules Atlanta – Shanghai Service

These are a couple of airline route updates that don't really warrant a full post of their own but may well be of interest to those looking to travel on these routes in the coming few months - United's addition of a wide-body aircraft on one of its Cancun routes should open up opportunities for greater comfort and Delta's resumption of its Shanghai service out of Atlanta will be welcomed too....especially considering the aircraft being employed.

Delta Reveals Next Airbus A350 Route & Adds A New Route To Europe

Delta's A350 is interesting primarily because the aircraft will be the first to offer the airline's new and impressive-looking Business Class suites up front as well as being the first to offer Delta Premium Select (the airline's grand name for its Premium Economy Cabin).

A few of the stories that have caught my eye recently but that didn't warrant a post of their own. Includes a one-off opportunity to fly on a Delta 747 between Honolulu and the mainland, news of El Al's greatly increased service to Newark, Singapore Airlines launching a corporate loyalty program and Emirates adding back flights to Orlando.

These changes are very significant!

Delta’s First A350 Routes Revealed

Late last week we found out that the inaugural route for Delta's new A350 aircraft will be the airline's Detroit (DTW) to Tokyo Narita (NRT) route and that the launch date is set for 30 October this year. Now, thanks to some good work from AirlineRoute, we know what the next two routes to feature Delta's Airbus A350 will be.

Review: Delta One Business Class 767 (Overnight JFK – MAD)

Amazingly, after more years of flying than I care to admit to, this was my first ever experience of flying with Delta and, as such, this was my first ever visit to Terminal 4 at New York's JFK airport. I was really looking forward to trying out Delta's transatlantic Business Class product (Delta One) as I wanted to see just how good a product the airline offers to make up for its atrocious rewards program (Delta SkyMiles has been nicknamed SkyPesos for a reason!).

Delta Premium Economy Will Launch In Late 2017

Delta has announced that it will be debuting its new Premium Economy cabin, "Delta Premium" on select international flights from "late 2017". Delta will be the second of the big 3 US legacy airlines to offer a true Premium Economy cabin following American's introduction of the cabin on its 787-9 Dreamliners last month.

Delta Sale Now On – Europe From $492 & Asia From $576 Roundtrip

I'm not exactly a big Delta flyer in so much as in all my years of flying I've never stepped foot on a Delta flight (that's soon changing) but I still pay attention when the airline offers good value fares...and there are some of those around right now.

Delta Improves Complimentary Upgrades With Immediate Effect

Back in May of this year Delta announced that, from this fall, Medallion members traveling with one companion would clear for Complimentary Upgrades to both First Class and Delta Comfort+ based on the status of the higher-tiered member. Well, we're half-way through the second month of fall and Delta has finally made good on that announcement.

I’m Cheating On American And It Feels Great!

I've made no secret of my feelings towards the American Airlines hierarchy following the changes to the AAdvantage program but I've also pointed out that I'm not really sure where else to turn if I want to earn and burn miles in a loyalty program that hasn't already been decimated. Alaska Airlines' Mileage Plan is a go-to program for a lot of disenchanted AAdvantage members but that program doesn't work so well if you have travel patterns like mine...so I'm a little bit stuck

Delta Adds New East Coast – Europe Routes For 2017

Delta has announced plans to expand the services it offers between the East Coast and Europe from Summer 2017. The airline is adding two new services across the Atlantic and is also bringing back a route that it offered earlier this year .

AMAZING! Delta Business Class Fares Madrid – New York From $1,052!

I have no idea what's going on over at Delta but there are some ludicrously low Business Class fares available right now for travel between Madrid and New York. Not only are the fares absolutely fantastic but they're also available through May 2017!

Delta & American Open Reservations For Flights To Havana

Over the weekend and in the early hours of this morning Delta and American Airlines added their respective USA - Havana flights to their schedules and opened up bookings to anyone who qualifies for travel to Cuba. As much as I'd like to go on another rant about the sheer stupidity of the rules governing who can and who cannot travel to Cuba from the US I'll restrain myself and focus on the route news.

Delta Is Adding A New Route To South Korea

Delta has announced that it will be expanding its relationship with Korean Air by launching a new route between Atlanta and Seoul, South Korea, as well as by expanding its existing joint codeshare agreement with the southeast Asian airline. The change will see Delta flyers have roundtrip connectivity to 33 destinations across Asia while Korean flyers while have access to over 140 destinations in the Americas.
New Delta One Suite

The New Delta One Suite Looks Fantastic!

You have to feel a little sorry for United and American Airlines (ok you don't really). United and American have been playing catch-up to Delta for years and things looked like they were starting to go their way. American Airlines finally has some excellent Business Class cabins on its long haul aircraft (the 777-300ER currently has the best Business Class seat across the Atlantic and the 787 seats aren't too far behind) and United must have been looking forward to a long period where it clawed back some of the customers it haemorrhaged to Delta with its own impressive-looking Polaris Business Class that is coming in December.
Delta New Boston Services

Delta Adding More Services Out Of Boston

In its latest batch of schedule updates Delta has clearly decided to give Boston a little bit more love. There are two new routes starting up this winter (one is even a short-haul international flight!), an old route is being restarted in the summer and an existing route is seeing frequencies significantly increased.
Delta Cancels JFK - Haneda Route

Delta Cancels New York JFK – Tokyo Narita Service

Tokyo has been the center of a number of Delta’s battles over the past 18 months. It all started when, back in 2014, American Airlines successfully challenged the airline’s right to operate its Seattle – Haneda route and that skirmish was followed by Delta’s attempt to derail American’s new service Haneda service from Los Angeles in November last year. The latest installment of the Tokyo saga began last month when Delta scored a win over American when it beat out another American bid to serve Haneda with its own proposal to offer service from Minneapolis. I thought that would be the end of things for a while but, just last week American announced that it was challenging the U.S. Department of Transportation's decision so that row rumbles on.

Manchester appears to be the center of a mini fare war between American Airlines and Delta/Virgin Atlantic and this is great news for UK-based travelers. Delta & Virgin Atlantic Add & Swap Routes Between The US and UK

Delta and Virgin Atlantic may not be part of the same worldwide alliance but they've been very strongly connected ever since Delta took a 49% stake in Virgin Atlantic back in 2013. It wasn't long after the tie-up with Delta that Virgin Atlantic started to withdraw from a lot of its non US/Caribbean routes to focus on the leisure sector between the US and the US.

Delta Adds Delta Comfort + Fares To Select Asia & Latin America Routes

Delta has announced that Delta Comfort + seating is being introduced as a separate fare on select routes between USA/Canada and Asia and Latin America.
