We’re hitting a bit of a purple patch as far as Business Class deals from Europe to North America are concerned. Last week I posted about some fantastic Business Class fares from Prague to cities like Washington and  Atlanta and now we have some great fares for travel from Europe to Las Vegas and San Francisco.

Europe To Las Vegas Business Class Fares

The really good news here is that there are some very good fares available to Vegas across all three alliances so, regardless of the rewards program you like to credit your flights to, there should be something here for you.

Oneworld Business Class Fares To Las Vegas From €1,380 Roundtrip

Important details to know:

  • Reservations need to be made at least 60 days ahead of time
  • Tickets must be issued on/before 28 September 2017
  • Best fares are available for departures from Europe Tue – Thu and departures from the US Mon – Wed
  • Minimum stay is 6 nights
  • Maximum stay is 12 months
  • Stopovers are not permitted

The oneworld fares to Las Vegas are widely available throughout 2018 and involve departures from Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Prague. Some of the better fares involve departing from one city and arriving back into another.

Here’s an example of a set of results I pulled up from the Matrix search engine:

When the results appear in calendar format the best fares often don’t show up…..

…but when you drill down into the results the lowest fares appear:

SkyTeam Business Class Fares To Las Vegas From €1,496 Roundtrip

Important details to know:

  • Reservations need to be made at least 60 days ahead of time
  • Tickets must be issued on/before 25 September 2017
  • Best fares are available for departures from Europe Tue – Thu and departures from the US Mon – Wed
  • Minimum stay is 6 nights
  • Maximum stay is 3 months
  • Stopovers are not permitted

Just like with oneworld, the SkyTeam fares are easy to find throughout 2018 but these fares appear to limit departures from Amsterdam. If other European cities work for this fare I haven’t spotted them.

The fares I’ve been seeing are mostly for travel on Delta….

…but I have seen one or two options with Air France/KLM.

Google Flights prices these fares up with relative ease….

….but my personal preference is to nail down dates that work for me with the Matrix tool and then book the fares with whatever OTA works best (I favor Orbitz).

Star Alliance Business Class Fares To Las Vegas From €1,494 Roundtrip

Important details to know:

  • Reservations need to be made at least 60 days ahead of time
  • Tickets must be issued on/before 25 September 2017
  • Best fares are available for departures from Europe Tue – Thu and departures from the US Mon – Wed
  • Minimum stay is 6 nights
  • Maximum stay is 3 months
  • Stopovers are not permitted

Quite simply the rules and fares for Star Alliance are just about exactly the same as for SkyTeam (some people have no originality!)

Once again the good fares are available throughout the bookable period in 2018 and, just like with SkyTeam these fares appear to originate out of Amsterdam.

Here’s an example of the availability:

You can find these fares for travel on United….

Europe To San Francisco Business Class Fares

Fares from €1,339 for roundtrip Business Class travel

These fares are considerably more limited than the Vegas fares in that they only appear to be being offered on oneworld airlines (Finnair specifically) and only for the low-season months (for Business Class travel) of July and August.

Important details to know:

  • Reservations need to be made at least 21 days ahead of time
  • I have not been able to spot a “book by” date but that doesn’t mean this fare won’t be pulled very soon.
  • Minimum stay is 5 nights
  • Maximum stay is 12 months
  • Stopovers are permitted in each direction in Europe at an additional cost of €150 each or in the US at a cost of €600 each.

These fares originate in Oslo and route via Helsinki on Finnair – some require a return to Stockholm rather than Oslo.

And here’s the fare priced up on Finnair.com together with an exchange rate conversion showing the price in Euro:

Some of these fares are very good indeed (the San francisco fare in particular looks tempting to me).

Two bits of advice:

  • Don’t see these fares as being just for the destination cities mentioned. Las Vegas and San Francisco are driving distance (or short flight distance) from a large number of fantastic places to vacation so you could use these fares to get you to the US and then drive or fly out from there to wherever it is that catches your fancy.
  • Don’t assume the flights will all be the same – business class cabins will differ from airline to airline and aircraft to aircraft so do your research and book flights that give you the most time in the more comfortable seats (i.e. fly West for as long as you can before you change aircraft).

If you’re interested in booking the San Francisco fare with Finnair I wouldn’t delay too long – with no set end date this fare could be around for a while or could be pulled in the next few hours.
