Just a quick note to highlight a promotion that Marriott is currently running in the UK which allows guests to book a special weekend rate which will get them a bonus 2,000 Marriott Rewards Points & breakfast during their stay.

Marriott 2,000 Points + Breakfast Offer

Here’s the information Marriott has published:

Make the most of your weekend breaks at over 50 Marriott hotels, from city getaways to country retreats, coastal breaks to Highland hideaways.

From 11 May – 15 August, 2017, boost your balance on Thursday-Sunday nights (Friday or Saturday night may be required) with 2,000 bonus points on weekend breaks with breakfast.

Whatever weekend break you’re seeking, escape and explore this spring with Marriott hotels.

So whether visiting friends in the North or taking a seaside escape in the South, book and earn at over 50 Marriott hotels in great town, city and countryside locations across England, Scotland and Wales – from Bournemouth to Aberdeen, Cardiff to London.

You can check the list of participating hotels via this link and, with 54 hotels participating, you should find your preferred property on the list.

Bottom Line

Make sure you do the math on this promotion as it may or may not be a good one for you.

Each hotel will publish a bead and breakfast rate as well as this promotional rate so you can see just how much extra (if anything) you’re paying for the 2,000 Marriott Points – I’d expect the attractiveness of the promotion to vary significantly from property to property.

I value Marriott Rewards points at around 0.6 cents (0.5 pence) each so 2,000 Marriott Rewards points would be equivalent to a $12 (£9) rebate on a stay – hardly life changing but worth having none the less….especially if it gets you closer to a reward night.
