With easyJet announcing a raft of new European routes a couple of days ago today it’s the turn of flyBe and British Airways to make a few route announcements. flyBe is expanding its services out of Southend to include a route to Ireland and two domestic routes while BA is adding a seasonal service to Nuremberg and adding a flight to/from Vienna.

- Dublin
- Glasgow
- Manchester
There aren’t just token routes either. The Southend – Dublin route will run up to 16x per week, the new Manchester route will offer flights 18x per week and Glasgow will be served 8x per week.
British Airways Adds Limited-Time Nuremberg Service
I’ve stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Nürnberg-Schwabach and was pleasantly surprised
It would appear as if BA has forecast a surplus of A319 aircraft at Gatwick between the end of November and the beginning of January as it has just announced a limited-time route to Nuremberg during that period.
From 30 November 2017 to 7 January 2018 British Airways will operate a Gatwick – Nuremberg route using A319 aircraft on the following schedule:
BA2660 LGW 16:20 – 19:25 NUE (Fri)
BA2660 LGW 16:25 – 19:30 NUE (Mon & Thur)
BA2660 LGW 16:30 – 19:35 NUE (Sun)
BA2661 NUE 20:25 – 21:25 LGW (Mon, Thur & Fri)
BA2661 NUE 20:40 – 21:40 LGW (Sun)

More BA Flights To Vienna For Winter 2017
Starwood’s Hotel Bristol is one of my favorites in Vienna
It looks as if Vienna is expected to be a hot destination for winter 2017 with British Airways upping the number of flights it intends to operate between Gatwick and the Austrian capital to 5 per week.
From 1 November 2017 the full winter schedule is now expected to look like this:
