Qatar Airways has published a Business Class sale for travel from the UK and, surprisingly for departures from the UK, some of the fares aren’t too bad. The biggest catch to the sale is that flights must be booked by 31 May so you don’t have too much time to think things over or to rearrange plans if you see a fare that interests you.

It’s worth noting that not all these routes are yet up and running – some aren’t due to come into effect until the end of the year or, in the case of Auckland, February next year!

Per Qatar Airways:

  • Krabi flights commence 6th December 2016.
  • Seychelles flights commence 12th December 2016.
  • Auckland flights commence 1st February 2017.
  • Windhoek 28th September 2016.

If any of the above fares are of interest then you can book direct through Qatar Airways here.

Bottom Line

If you’re used to booking Business Class fares from anywhere in Europe bar the UK then most of these fares won’t be that exciting to you (Europe sees cheaper Qatar Business class fares on a very regular basis) but there will be a lot of people who can benefit from some of these fares.

UK Families with young kids almost certainly don’t want to have the inconvenience of a positioning flight into Europe, a change of airlines (where you have to recheck your baggage) and then, potentially, another two flights before they get to their destination – that’s too much like hard work.

For that demographic it’s almost certainly worth it to pay a little more to avoid all that fuss and to just fly from the UK.
