The Qatar Airways Qsuite Business Class cabin is recognised as being the best Business Class cabin in the world right now (by most people) and thanks to aircraft refits and an expanding Qatar Airways fleet it’s getting easier to find flights offering the product.
That being said, there are only 4 US cities to which the Qatar Airways Qsuite is currently offered (Chicago, Houston, New York and Washington D.C.) so, if you’re based in the US, it’s definitely harder for you to try out the acclaimed Business Class cabin than it is for those based in Europe or Asia.
Well, if you’re based in Philadelphia (or close by) Qatar Airways has a small gift for you – the Qatar Airways Airbus A350-1000 (complete with Qsuites Business Class) will operate the Doha-Philadelphia route for one roundtrip on 23 July 2018 [HT: Airline Route]
For some reason the Doha – Philadelphia segment is not showing as being bookable right now but the Philadelphia – Doha segment certainly is….and Business Class awards are available!
A quick ExpertFlyer search confirms that the Q350-1000 is operating on the 23rd and that the Qsuite cabin is onboard (all Qatar Airways A350-1000s have the Qsuite product):
A oneway Business Class award between Philadelphia and Doha will set you back 70,000 AAdvantage Miles + minimal taxes/fees (or 105,000 Avios and over $600 in fees) so it’s not exactly a bargain redemption…but this is the world’s best Business Class seat that we’re talking about.
Unbelievably I’m still trying to get myself booked on a Qsuite equipped flight but Qatar Airways appears to be deploying the Qsuite aircraft on just about every route other than the ones I’m booked to fly (how does Bangalore get Qsuites before Singapore?!) so my frustration continues.
Is anyone in a position to snap up one of the Business Class awards still available on the Philadelphia – Doha flight? If you are please come back and let us know what the experience was like.
