On Wednesday I posted news of a pretty decent 3-day Southwest Sale that covers most of their routes. The sale should have ended at 11:59pm last night but, thanks to a combination of manic shoppers and a Southwest website that couldn’t handle the mania, the sale has been extended to 11:59pm tonight (Friday 5 June).

Apparently, chaos ensued when the Southwest website was mobbed by travellers trying to book the discounted flights and the airlines systems just weren’t up to it. The website started showing a message that said the site was “currently undergoing maintenance” and asked people to call a toll-freer number…..which was permanently engaged. Not impressive.
Anyway, if you didn’t get around to checking out the sale or if you were one of the unlucky thousands who couldn’t log on then you still may have a chance to get a good deal.
Prices start from $49 one-way (I still think some of the best deals are the Intra-California flights) and the Headline T&Cs are the same as before:
- Booking period: Now – 11:59pm on 4 June
- Travel Period: 24 August – 16 December 2015 (Excludes Friday & Saturday Travel)
- Blackout Dates: Sept 3,4,5 & 7, 20 Nov – 1 Dec.
