Those of you who remember life before the internet, cell phones, overpaid sports stars and mind-numbing reality TV (and the “stars” that go with it) may remember the Crocodile Dundee movies of the 1980’s (I’m ignoring the disastrous attempt at a re-boot in 2001). Well, Crocodile Dundee is back….or at least his son is.

Paul Hogan, the star of the Crocodile Dundee movies, featured in a number of 1980’s TV commercials which aired around the world promoting tourism to Australia. Now the Australian Tourist board has resurrected the memory of Crocodile Dundee and is using it in it’s latest commercials – I’ve seen two so far.

Commercial 1

Watch out for the briefest of cameos from Hogan himself – blink and you’ll miss it!

Commercial 2

The big guns are out in this one with Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe amongst the stars promoting their home country.

That’s my nostalgia fix for the day 🙂
